Congratulations to Marilinda Cruz, Tom and Susan Witham, and Alfred LaSpina who will receive Cheverus Medals at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston at a 3:00pm ceremony on Sunday, November 23, 2025. This award was instituted by Cardinal O’Malley in 2008 to recognize lay people who have served the Church well over an extended period, especially in ways they may not be so noticeable.

The Shrine was invited to nominate candidates from the English and Spanish communities and from the St. Alfio Society. This was a very difficult decision because there is a long list of very qualified candidates. May the Lord reward all of you who so generously serve the Shrine Community in so many ways. All are welcome to attend the ceremony at the Cathedral which is a prayer service but not a Mass. God bless you. ~Fr. Peter
