Lessons and Carols Testimonies

Jesus Christ Lives! If you attended our Christmas Lesson and Carols, I think you would agree with me that the energy in the liturgical readings complemented by the exuberant Christmas caroling by the Choir was electrifying. Holy Rosary Shrine, with its beautiful decorations and lighting and red vigil candles twinkling on the altar, was the setting of an amazing awareness of God’s presence. I thank our priests, our deacon and brothers for their spiritual guidance and for the solemn sacredness in offering the Eucharistic celebrations at our Christmas Masses in this past season. ~Anita Sapienza

The Beauty of Lessons and Carols: There are no words to adequately express how moving and emotional this service was. It gets better every year! The singing and the readings were beyond anyone’s expectations, and I could feel God’s presence with every note sung and every word read. I can’t begin to describe how talented the choir members are. The soloists were phenomenal, and the Silent Night solo nearly brought me to tears.

John Donovan’s organ playing was incredible and second to none. I think that he and the choir are the best in the country! Our altar looked stunning, and the manger scene depicted so beautifully the birth of our Savior on that most holy and sacred night. Tom and Susan Witham did an excellent job putting this service together. How blessed we are to have such a beautiful Shrine with so many wonderful spiritual activities and events, all dedicated to build our faith. Our Friars are amazing and work so hard every day building the Kingdom of God with their teachings, their love of the poor, and their strong and unwavering faith. Between the Christmas Lessons and Carols and the magnificent Nativity Play (directed by Caroline Then), we have all been reminded to “Come Let Us Adore Him”. Not just at Christmas, but every day of the year. ~Connie Pickles
