Tenebrae Service

March 27 @ 7:00 pm

Tenebrae service on Easter vigil 2023.

Tenebrae comes from the Latin word meaning “darkness” or “shadows“. It was originally a special celebration of matins and lauds during the Easter Triduum. Now the ceremony is usually done on Wednesday Evening of Holy Week and consists of readings, hymns and silent reflection as candles are successively extinguished, signifying the hour of darkness of the Passion of Our Lord.

Please plan to joining us on Wednesday, March 27th at 7:00pm in the Upper Church and experience this simple but powerful devotion to help you enter into the most sacred days of the year.

All are welcome!
