With the year coming to a close, our Helping Hands Ministry here at Holy Rosary Shrine would like to give an update of what our ministry has done this past year. Here is a summary of the events which we participated in from September 2024 through June of 2025

  • Sep, 2024: We prepared, packaged and delivered 100 ham and cheese sandwiches with snacks to Bread and Roses.
  • Oct, 2024: We cooked and delivered 12 pounds of chicken cutlets and pasta to Daybreak Shelter.
  • Nov, 2024: We prepared and delivered 50 lunches for Daybreak Shelter
  • Dec, 2024: Members of our ministry donated socks (Eleanor Thornhill), ponchos (Mimi Benanti) and hand warmers (Paula White) to Bread and Roses and Daybreak Shelter. We also donated $100.00 in cleaning supplies to St. Joseph’s House.
  • Mar, 2025: We prepared, packaged and delivered 100 ham and cheese sandwiches with snacks to Bread and Roses.
  • Apr, 2025: We donated pizza to a Shrine youth group event
  • May, 2025: We prepared and delivered 50 lunches for Daybreak Shelter
  • Jun, 2025: We held a highly successful donation drive for Lazarus House, which included cleaning supplies and much needed personal items.
We are a small group but our efforts to help our community are big and much appreciated by those less fortunate, especially during these difficult economic times. In doing this work, we have been blessed by meeting so many wonderful, kind and appreciative people, and we are honored to be able to help. We look forward to continuing our good efforts; however, we are self-funded, so if anyone would like to make a donation to our ministry to help us continue our good work, please contact any of our members listed below.

Thank-you in advance for any help provided. May God bestow blessings too numerous to count upon all of us.
