In 1978, during Ted Bundy’s brutal attack at Florida State University’s Chi Omega sorority house, a young woman’s life was miraculously spared in what can only be described as a divine intervention. Bundy entered her room with murderous intent, but was inexplicably stopped—his weapon flying from his hand, as if by an invisible force. The young woman, who had promised her mother to pray the Rosary each night, had fallen asleep clutching it. She later confided to a priest that she believed her nightly devotion had protected her. Years afterward, that same priest visited Bundy on death row, where Bundy admitted he had been baffled by what had stopped him that night. The priest revealed the truth: it was the power of the Rosary. This extraordinary encounter remains a striking witness to the unseen strength of faith and the spiritual shield prayer can offer even in the face of evil.
