Padre Erbio Caraballo Honored

On Thursday, October 16th, a new sign was erected by the city of Lawrence on the corner of Essex and Union Streets to honor Padre Erbio Caraballo, OSA. The corner was already dedicated to Fr. Caraballo but a new sign has been erected as part of the Lawrence Square Project of Councilman Marc Laplante. The Augustinian priest, originally from Cuba, served at Holy Rosary Parish from 1971 until his death in 1989. He did great work in serving the new and growing Hispanic community in Lawrence. The new sign has a QR code that can be scanned to hear more about his story.
