Feast of St. Joseph Mass and Reception

Saint Joseph reception

The Feast of St. Joseph is a very special day. As the foster father of Jesus, he played a very important role in history. He put his trust in God, and in doing so, he fiercely protected Mary and the Christ child and provided for their every need, no matter how difficult. Although we have no words spoken by St. Joseph in the bible, his actions spoke volumes!

Thank-you to our friars for a most poignant and beautiful Mass to honor this great saint. We think it is safe to say that no other church had such a meaningful, devotional, and spiritual service.

Thank-you to everyone who came to the reception that followed the mass. We had the largest turnout ever, which was awesome to see and a true tribute to our friars who are succeeding in helping our shrine community to grow!

The zeppoles were delicious, thanks to Piro’s Bakery who so generously donated and delivered six dozen of these delectable treats! Not only were they beyond delicious, but they were very pleasing to the eye as well! Legend has it that after the Holy Family fled to Egypt, St. Joseph sold pancakes to provide for his family, therefore, tying desserts like zeppoles to his name.

Wayne and I appreciate everyone who also brought pastries and other goodies. Your generosity and thoughtfulness are truly appreciated and definitely welcomed.

May the blessings of St. Joseph rain down upon us all.
